What is pink and blue ribbons?

Pink ribbons are widely recognized as a symbol for breast cancer awareness and research. They were first used in 1992 by the Susan G. Komen Foundation to promote their Race for the Cure event. The color pink was chosen to convey femininity and hope. Since then, pink ribbons have been used by many organizations to raise awareness for breast cancer issues and to promote fundraising efforts for research.

Blue ribbons, on the other hand, have a more varied meaning. They have been used to raise awareness for a variety of causes such as child abuse prevention, men's health issues, and prostrate cancer. Blue ribbons have also been used to show support for police officers and law enforcement, as well as to raise awareness for autism spectrum disorder. The color blue is often associated with calmness, stability, and trust.
